Chris Ann Cleland I knew what shows up on your comments - front and center! Most of the older members have figured this out, but I keep seeing a lot of newwer members that I have no idea of what state or city they work. It would be good to see and it would help them out a lot.

Anna, loved this post indeed it is about location, everyone knows I am a Beverly Hills Realtor... some consider me a Greater Los Angeles Realtor... indeed that is key.... loved Beth Atalay comment where is the darn Feature Button just like where is the Leader Board, Endre

Hello Anna - it's a good tip for any ActiveRain member whether they be a newby or a veteran if it's important(since some work virtual). Location matters after all, right?

Hi Anna Banana Kruchten CRS CRB, Phoenix Broker - I remember Bob Stewart's discussion about hyper local in your blogs. From time to time I put my location in my blog text and put it in the keywords. I notice the difference on Google Analytics. Of course, what you say about putting on Active Rain is very important.

That is a great tip! That has frustrated me a little bit too when I wonder what part of the country someone is in and I have a difficult time finding that. I better look at my own profile and make sure that I have made it clear as well.

Good morning Anna Banana Kruchten CRS CRB, Phoenix Broker I had a mentor years ago that said James Bond isn't the only secret agent. Many real estate agents do a poor job of letting folks know they are available.

Hi Endre Barath, Jr. I wasn't sure what you meant about the leaderboard until I read a few other comments about it. It is indeed missing at this time. That's not good. That is where I go when looking for agents in certain states or cities. How on earth will we locate them now. I am hoping it's just another glitch in the process of ugrading the system. Thanks for mentioning this - appreciated.

Hi Beth Atalay it is very important for business people to be known for what state or area they do business in. I think it's just a matter of re-teaching a lot of simple things we all learned years ago. This one is an easy fix.
Exactly Grant Schneider I did the same as well when we were doing a lot of hyper local posts. It's equally as imporant to have it right up front in ones profile - Boom......I work in ____________!
Haha I had to laugh at your response Rocky Dickerson ! We must have had the same speaker somewhere along the way. He was great. Thankfully that day I had a name tag on and wasn't a secret agent. I never forgot that tip and have shared it often over the years.

Hi George Souto look through the blog roll and there are a lot of newbies that I have no clue what state or city they work from . Do you remember in the early days we all learned this stuff. Getting found and building relationships here in the rain is key. I hope the newbies read this and not be secret agents any more.
