“Often Tough to Buy Directly from the Seller”
The landlord is in a big rush. I understand he doesn’t want this to go into next year, but I’m also not feeling OK to be rushed. Again the kitchen is not done and the bathroom is not finished. I have been up there helping clean and paint. I don’t mind it getting inspected my only concern is, inspection comes out of my pocket(I am for certain getting the loan for this house?) can’t I wait for the appraisal to be done first then do an inspection? He just thinks I’m made of money, I have the appraisal money in the bank. But I just paid rent and bills so I really would prefer not to dig myself in a hole and pay for the inspector right now. Again can’t I wait till after the appraisal to get it inspected?
I advised my client to have the home inspection done first to make sure she should move forward with the purchase. Yes, she already lives in the home but a first-time home buyer isn’t necessarily aware of all that can be wrong with a home.
The job of the home inspector is to see and explain all that may be a current issue or concern in the home or advise of anything that may happen in the near future.
She has since arranged for the home inspection to be done.
