2020 Makers Market Crafter’s Showcase

It’s almost time for the Makers Market Crafter’s Showcase, sponsored by the Carlsbad Village Association. The 2nd annual event takes place on Saturday, December 5th, from 9 am until 4 pm.
The Makers Market Crafter’s Showcase is a Covid-safe event, being held at St. Michael’s By-the-Sea Episcopal Church at 2775 Carlsbad Village Way.

The venue allows for plenty of room for social distancing, and there are fewer booths than at last year’s showcase.
All health guidelines and protocols will be followed and enforced for all (i.e., staff, volunteers, vendors, attendees), including wearing masks and appropriate social distancing. There is a hand washing station, as well as stations for hand sanitizing.

Small Business Saturday is on November 28th, but in case you don’t get your shopping started, or completed, the Makers Market is a terrific opportunity for holiday shopping with handcrafted and self-designed items from 40 local and regional artisans. Participants are selected by a committee so you can expect the quality and creativity will be special.
You’ll likely find a wide range of hand-crafted items, including beading, natural jewelry, leatherwork, 3D functional art, fabric creations, re-purposed materials, glass and so much more. Remember these are not factory-production items but all hand-made, so expect some unique crafts. And a bonus - you’ll be able to talk with the artisans, too!
You’ll find live music, and food discounts at some of the local eateries. And if by some chance you don’t find the perfect gifts at the Makers Market Crafter’s Showcase, there are abundant retailers in the Village nearby for holiday shopping.
