“Jeopardy” champion Ken Jennings will host the game show when it returns to production on November 30. When the episode airs on January 11, it will mark the first time in 36 years the program isn’t hosted by Alex Trebek. The beloved TV personality died of pancreatic cancer on November 8.
Jennings will preside over the show on an interim basis, the first in a series of guest hosts “from within the ‘Jeopardy!’ family” until a permanent replacement is named, Sony Pictures Television announced Monday. The move was widely expected. Jennings joined the show in September as a consulting producer with an on-air role presenting his own categories.
