This morning, we ventured out to try a new coffee and pastry place that had received rave reviews from national and local publications. We were unimpressed with the whole place including the proprietor.
We gave the place the benefit of the doubt and ordered two cappuccinos and their claim to fame, donut holes. We walked out, took a sip and a bite and threw everything out.
Just like a parent kisses his child's "boo boo" to make it better and go away, we did the same for ourselves. Instead of grumbling about it, we drove over to The Handlebar. They make the best cappuccinos in town!
We sat outside in the sun warming ourselves like lizards. We sipped our beautiful cappuccinos and appreciated the place as well the view of the newly restored historic Presidio! With that extra effort to erase the past and stay in the NOW, we looked forward to the rest of the day!
With a smile and a happy heart, we went on to our next errand. Even though there were lines at every cashier window, the waters parted and a new cashier signaled us over.
We have found that happiness always attracts more happiness and "good stuff" as one of our favorite clients ends every one of our conversations!
Happy Tuesday, Pivot to Happiness! Wishing you an abundance of good stuff!
