While this is the most unusual Thanksgiving any of us will ever live, the holiday remains ever-present. The world may be changing but, today is Thanksgiving! Yes, it's here, whether we are celebrating alone, with just our household or doing our 'usual' gathering. I do hope you're enjoying your Thanksgiving bounty!
Whether you are together or not, you'll likely be chatting with your family at some point today. Please consider making a decision together, to adopt a family for the holidays. There are a multitude of families who have been displaced this year - lost family-owned businesses, lost their jobs due to restaurants and bars, stores and shops being closed, etc. A huge part of our population (people AND pets).
Adopting a family is SUCH a wonderfully rewarding thing to do during the holiday season. I think you'll find that there's more 'reward' in family adoption than you could have ever imagined!

Contact your local shelters, a local social worker or home care facility - they can assist you in finding a family to adopt. If you don’t know who to call, visit www.VolunteerMatch.org. If you can’t assist an entire family, smaller contributions are more than welcomed by this wonderful organization.
