On November 19, 2020, National Association of Realtors NAR.Realtors reported on median home value price was $311,800 in October of 2020 higher 14.8% from the price of $271,500 in October of 2019.
Single family home sales were at annual rate of 5.87 million units in October of 2020 gained 4.1% from the annual rate of 6.12 million home sales in September of 2020, and jumped 26.7% from home sales rate in October of 2019. The median single family home price was $317,700 in October of 2020, rose 16.0% from October of 2019.
Condominium and co-op sales increased 25.9% to an annual rate of 730,000 units in October of 2020 from September of 2020, and up 5.8% from October of 2019. Median existing condo price was $273,600 in October of 2020, grew 10.3% from October of 2019.
Distressed homes sales were 1.0% in October of 2020 unchanged from 1.0% in September of 2020, but down from 2.0% in October of 2019.
Lawrence Yun, NAR chief economist, stated "Considering that we remain in a period of stubbornly high unemployment relative to pre-pandemic levels, the housing sector has performed remarkably well this year,"
