We’ve been hearing a lot from homeowners who want to sell but are unsure whether they should list now or wait until spring. With COVID and this crazy year in general, everything sort of changed.

There are still plenty of buyers looking for houses right now, and we’re still lacking in inventory. Selling in the winter generally isn’t a bad idea, especially in California, but it could be even more advantageous to you this year.

"The more of your home that buyers can see online,
the more likely they are to fall in love with it."

If you do sell in the near future, here are a few tips to help you get top dollar and sell quickly:

1. Price competitively. Listen to your broker or agent on their pricing advice. If you’ve hired them, you should trust that they are guiding you to the best price point possible for your home.

2. Make sure there are great pictures and videos of your home. Your home should be showcased in all its bright, beautiful glory. Video is a key component to getting maximum exposure and price for your home, especially in today’s market where open houses aren’t possible. Matterport 3D tours are a fantastic tool, and we offer them to each one of our clients. People are very comfortable with these tours and viewing them at home. The more they can see of your home, the more likely they are to fall in love with it.

3. Bake something before you show the home. We want to make sure that your home smells great when we have serious buyers come for a showing. We’re taking all necessary COVID precautions, but everyone can still smell those delicious, fresh-baked goods through their masks.

If you have any questions about buying a home, selling a home, or the real estate market in general, don't hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
