A sinkhole that has begun to expand to frightening dimensions has caused some local residents to flee. The first set of measurements pegged the sinkhole at 25 feet deep and 100 feet wide, but it is said to have grown significantly since those initial measurements. A six foot chain link fence, surrounded by patrolling police officers, surrounds the area.
