Unrepresented Sellers AKA "FSBO"

By
Real Estate Agent with Howard Hanna

I am a new Realtor I have been with my current company for about four months. I have been aggressively going after unrepresented sellers and I have had some success. I am now going to add expireds to my plan. I have read several blogs about expireds and read lots of online articles.  I am going to just do it. For those of you who are new like me, I want to give you the encouragement to just do it.  I am told that lots of Realtors in my area do not go after unrepresented sellers and expireds because they are afraid of the rejection among other issues they may have.  As a new person I think it is good practice to thicken your skin. Where else is your business going to come from? You do not have past clients so there are not any repeat business or referrals. And I do not know about you but my sphere of influence is not doing too much.  So until you build your client base where do you expect to get your business? Expireds and unrepresented sellers. You must form a plan from where they are going to come from to how you will follow up. Keep good notes ,be consistent, patient and professional.  Never Never lie or make promises that you can not keep. Jump right in and good luck.

Thanks Lisa,

Are you a new Realtor too? Do you go after expireds and unrepresented sellers.

Sonja - Yep , just do it!  You have such a fresh attitude and I LOVE IT!  I also love "unrepresented sellers" instead of calling them FSBOs.  I wish you much success and let us know how it goes from time to time.
