Deciding which groups to join on ActiveRain is obviously important to enhance the success one achieves from this resource.
I was searching through the various choices and then I found this Group: Agents who want REFERRALS.
So how does this work; who do I email; what should I do? All advice, comments (and referrals) will be eagerly welcomed.
Stewart I have doen three leads this year from active rain. You have to do the meta tags and bold type on towns and neighborhoods.
I have also gained a few referrals from Active Rain. I agree with John Walters, meta tags and mention specific areas you specialize in.

Stewart: I have found that referrals on Active Rain come from establishing relationships with other Realtors I have met here on AR, and continuing those relationships... and gradually building a rapport... which, if you "click," will lead to personal referrals going back and forth between you and that person you have established a relationship with. That has worked best for me. Take care...

Just keep blogging about your area and you will rise in the search engine rankings. Likewise other agents will find you if they are looking to refer that way. Many people from your area end up on Maui, so I am happy to network with you. I am subscribing to your blog to keep in touch with you.
Re: tags and keywords... it looks like you are doing it right. Be sure to use them in the pictures too.
