Another Day in the Life of a Centreville Listing Agent

Starting this week, it looked as though a few of my deals that were slotted to close were having delays.  No one likes a delay, but delays are minor problems.  If a buyer can still close, but a lender needs more time, generally it is not a big deal.  Thankfully, the one actually getting delayed is not a problem for the buyer's move-in time frame.  She's got some over lap with her lease.

Meanwhile, the other deal seems to have settled back into an "on-time" track.  That means closing next week.

Today was all about getting paperwork for inspections to various people and meeting a plumber at my Centreville listing.  Lack of winterizing a hose bib last winter made it impossible to winterize this year.  Came up during the buyer's inspection, but was nothing my seller and I hadn't already discovered in just prepping her home for the market and being vacant.  Nonetheless, it was fixed and that deal is also on rails to close.

December's deals are coming together nicely.  But then again, every one of them stars me with wonderful cooperating agents.  Things move smoothly when you have good agents on both sides.

Hello Chris Ann - "it's not over, until it's over" may be a contender for the most often heard phrase in real estate.  That's because it is so true.  Getting an offer accepted is just one step...it's not the end of a transaction.  Good luck as your move towards year-end and some additional closings.

Seems cool heads are the order of the day in all of the transactions.  That's a good start to getting them to the finish line.
