It is interesting when birds gather. I always wonder what they are discussing. Crows and ravens fascinate me, they are very intelligent creatures. They also learn human faces and remember how they are treated. And, you're right, they can be noisy little buggers. We also had a lovely orange sunset last night, sans the crows. I didn't get it until the tail end, unfortunately. It's not as dramatic as your shot.

Jeff,
We have murders of crows here too, and they really carry one with the squawking! I love watching a group of them chase after hawks during the nesting season, those hawks do not have a chance. A
Hi Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS - we see them every evening although they seem to have different patterns of flying and where they gather. They make quite the ruckus.

Hi Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD Great shot! You have more trees to peak through than we do.
The crows really are fascinating and there seem to be more and more of them. No doubt someone has studied crow behavior - would be an interesting read!

Hello Jeff - your photo has a rather ominous feel to it with the the crows against(and in) the trees. Haunting is the word that first came to mind but I am sure many others will come as I stare at it a bit longer.
Lottie Kendall - I think of Hitchcock's movie often when I see all the crows!
Hi Sharon Lee I have some other videos but didn't take one that night. I should have - they were REALLY noisy, and some of the neighbors were out in the street watching!

That is such an eerie sight in the evening. I used to see it more often when I lived in an urban area. Thank you for sharing 🎅
