All Aboard The Limo Ride Into 2021

Real Estate Agent with HomeSmart Real Estate BR030809000 AZ Broker BR030809000

It's that time of year when I work on my business and life plan for the next year. For me it's pretty much an ongoing process year to year. I've taught business planning for years to agents and kept it simple for one reason.... many agents hate business planning and somehow never seem to get one done. I'll be going through my business and life plan day by day, between now and the beginning of the new year. Look for it if you want a plan that is simple, easy and is balanced between business and life.

Last week I just happened to look back in my planner for 2020 (I use a Bullet Journal now). OMG one look told the story! 2020 was one he** of a year!  I had a page or so for big events planned for 2020 and not ONE happened. I crossed them all out, laughing at the same time.  I mean what could I say that even makes any sense to all of that nothingness!! Needless to say, all was not lost, I managed to shift course and create a very interesting plan that I had no idea existed before this year!

You have to roll with the changes, right?  At least you were able to manage a successful business through this unparalleled year.

Anna no way to predict the surprises in 2020 last December.  We need to be flexible in this business.

Hello Anna - it's been quite the year(and there is some 2020 yet to come).  Now, there's an understatement.

I did a business plan at the beginning of each year. This year 2020 I had to change it, no open houses, no door knocking, no meeting people on walks. I had to get creative to hit my goals, and change the plan. Adapting to your surroundings when life hits you with a curve ball is key... Planning for 2021 what will it be like?  I thinking setting a plan is better then not having a plan at all, even if you have to change it with not knowing what the future holds...

That was the year that was, an asterisk* as Michael Jacobs talked about in one of his posts.  I am predicting so many worthwhile changes coming out this perceived chaos for some, and an opportunity to take a break and assess what matters most.  A

... I just love your postings ... they are so down to Earth and very real to many of us.  Yes, 2020.... simply just sucked for many of us.  Well, at least I grew my COVID beard to be Danta Claus!!
