The Fabulous Forties neighborhood is one of Sacramento's most iconic neighborhoods. It is a stately mix of Tudor, Colonial Revival, Arts and Crafts and California Bungalow style homes. The homes have some of the largest lots in East Sacramento and many feature cedar trees that are over 100 years old. The Fabulous Forties was home to California's most famous governor and his wife, Ronald and Nancy Reagan.
It is THE perfect neighborhood for the holiday season.

We voted these Candy Canes as the most creative decorations of the night.

The homeowner wrapped corrugated irrigation pipe with red and green lights to create 10-foot-high candy canes. It was both creative and very effective. There is a solid chance candy canes will make an appearance at the Henson household next Christmas.
This is a magical time in the neighborhood and a fun excursion for family and friends. Visiting the Fabulous Forties for a little fun run with Runnin for Rhett has been a family tradition for us for several years. We love spending a little time with Santa. Who knew he could play the piano so well?
If you are in Sacramento at Christmas time, We hope you get a chance to visit The Fabulous Forties. We also wish you a fabulous Christmas and New Year!

Thank you Anna Banana Kruchten CRS CRB, Phoenix Broker and Carol Williams for this year’s Christmas Challenge!
BTW-When and if you find Santa, he will sound surprisingly like the Vince Guaraldi Trio as he plays this classic. Go Snoopy, Go! ! !
