Time Spent On The Things Important Is Priceless

No matter how many property's you own, deals you've closed this month or revenue you've earned those things will never have more value than time.  If you look around the world, you can find tons of millionaires and 2,825 billionaires.  The one thing that you will not find though is a Timeunaire.(Disclaimer: I just googled "timeunaire" and nothing came back in the search results.  I think I just created a new word so remember you saw it here first)

timeunaire word created by Chris Ivy owner of Ivy Vine Investments on Dec 14, 2020

No man, woman or child can take the title of having the most time.  The main reason being, because tomorrow isn't promised to any of us.  That's why the title of this post should garner everyone attention and make us all realize that time spent on the things important is priceless.

Fishing and Roblox

Growing up as a kid in Arkansas my dad loved fishing and would always take me during the summer months.  I would look forward to waking up at 5:30am and loading up the boat and truck with all of our supplies. It was a competition thing with me because I wanted to see if I could catch more fish than pops that day.  So with dew still on the ground and a sausage and biscuit in my hand we were off to one of the lakes nearby.

Boat in the water and lines casted we enjoyed almost complete silence for the next few hours.  Of course there was conversation each time one of us caught a fish or it was time to move to a new location on the lake.  But for the most part, we just enjoyed each other company and the sounds of the lake.  To this day, I still remember all of those trips and the memories that I have are priceless.

Fast forward 20 years and I'm now in the Dad's role and my daughter is in the passenger seat.  It's now my time for us to create moments that she will be able to look back at and cherish.  If you have children I'm sure you've heard of the popular gaming app called Roblox.  It's a cartoon based world where kids can go and be creative and play all sorts of games.  From building and designing homes to playing duck duck goose there is a multitude of different things to do or play.

The last few days we've been playing this game where you are running through this multi- level maze trying to find the exit and avoid being captured by captives.  It should be an easy task but for some reason I've struggled tremendously.  During these struggles you would have thought my daughter was at a Netflix comedy special by the expressions on her face and how loud she was laughing.  At the end of the day I didn't care because I knew this would be a moment that we would always remember and be able to laugh about.

No amount of money can turn back the hands of time so make sure to set your priorities in your life.  You don't want to be in your rocking chair at 90 years old and the only memories you have are of work or material things that really didn't matter in the grand scheme of things.  Make and enjoy those unforgettable moments with your family.  Also, do everything in your power to check off all of the goals that you have on your bucket list.  Time waits for no one so don't wait on time.  Find the important things in your life and create mental blogs that you can review forever.

Until next time be safe, wash those hands and enjoy the rest of your week.  I'm Out.....

Oh Chris Ivy you so have this right!  Spending time with our loved ones, especially children, is priceless. Your daughter will remember the times you spent with her and it too will become a priceless memory. I am trying to spend as much time this holiday season with a friend that has serious health issues and it's a gift to see her smile and light up.

Morning Chris.

My dad was not a fisherman or hunter, two things I really enjoyed in my youth.  It was all work, nothing left for him to do

Making a memory with a loved one, especially where laughter is involved, is always time well spent in my book.
