Monday Musings: A Special Bubble Filled with Love and Wagging Tails

We are in the habit with owners' permission of petting dogs.  This time, in the Trader Joe's parking lot, there were 5 sweet heads, and an exuberant owner who was waiting for his wife to finish her shopping at Pet Smart.

He was telling us how this was the happiest he has ever been in his life.  He has not paid one iota of attention to the health crisis, because of his new career. He is following the example of the unconditional love his doggie customers. He told us that all the dogs do is exude love.

He had recently retired after years of working in the aeronautic defense industry and joined his wife in the business she created called, "Love Paws".  Essentially Love Paws is a hotel dog spa in their home!  They do not have a web page, nor any presence on line, it is all word of mouth.  They treat their dog customers exactly the way they are treated at home by their loving owners.

It was a joy for us to listen to his story.  We could feel the love of his day's work as he shared with us that he and his bride take the dogs to the Douglas preserve, 70 acres of open space of beachside bluffs with a designated off leash area for dogs.

All the pups were calm and relaxed. They are not in the business for the money.  One of the dogs (white lab) is there for the price of her special food.  Her owner had to leave to take care of her son back East. She had no idea how long she would be gone.

His wife returned also beaming love and sunshine and greeted each dog with a hug! She also was a delight!  Their bubble was filled with love, happiness and plenty of wagging tails.

We realized that we did not exchange names with each other.  We did exchange love and appreciation.  This was a very special moment.

"I have found that when you are deeply troubled, there are things you get from the silent devoted companionship of a dog that you can get from no other source." ~ Doris Day

"A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than you love yourself." ~ Josh Billings

"I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me they are the role model for being alive." ~ Gilda Radner

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty If our schedule did not involve being out of town often, we would certainly have a dog...and we will at one point.  It is in the plans. A

Will Hamm We are a dog loving county here, and we always asked.  No one has ever refused.  On the beach, dogs know we love them, and will bring us their balls or sticks.  A

Hi Ron and Alexandra Seigel A - first of all it is very encouraging to find someone who does not live "under the circumstances" but finds joy.  And second, the dogs are examples of unconditional love.

Jeff Dowler, CRS They give the dog owners exactly what they are asking for. He was telling me that if the dog is used to sleeping with the owner, then that dog will sleep with them.  They have a super large bed to accomodate thsoe guys!  A
