As many of you know my daughter is in the ICU in Memphis waiting for a heart transplant. My wife has been right there in the room with her for almost a month now. I want to share a story my wife shared with me.
I had an incident last night that I want to tell you about. Concerned about Laurens nutrition and not eating I ask her if she’d like a grilled hotdog and fries from the cafeteria. Yes. So I went. The lady said no we are out, we cook those in the morning. I said oh ok. She ask if I’d like something else. I said no it’s not for me it’s for my daughter upstairs. I literally watched the Holy Spirit come over her. She looked at me, turned and went to the freezer got a hot dog and put it on the grill. I motioned her to come closer to the counter and said with teary eyes, thank you so much . You have blessed my daughter. She hasn’t been eating much and ask for a hotdog, and she is having a heart transplant in a few days. She left the counter, cane around and hugged and held me for a while. The hug felt so good as if Gods angel was putting their wings around me. I was again overwhelmed with Gods love and kindness.
Isn’t that beautiful. A simple kindness means so much.
