Indeed, it really is up to us... and how fortunate are we to be able to make choices, Alexandra. I learned a very long time ago to listen to my "inner voice." It became clearly quickly that when I didn't I was going down the wrong path. We really need to get our of our own way sometimes.

With a semi sad comment I must say I believe we are losing our free choice (and many other freedoms) as each day goes by in this country. Soon I fear we will be told which direction we MUST choose.

Today is Winter Solstice.  My grandson and I are putting a couple logs on the fire, I'm cooking up a marinated pork tenderloin, whipped potatoes, and winter squash.  We have a bottle of wine to share.  I hope staying home and staying safe is the message everyone's gut conveys.

Hello Ron and Alexandra Seigel, I could talk about this for hours. Having the ability to make a choice is a blessing. Thankfully, we can still do that in this country. I made the decision not to travel over Christmas to see my son. This will be our first Christmas apart and it makes me really sad but I will stand by my decision regardless. 

I love this post Ron and Alexandra- I believe we always have a choice...we may not like what we have to choose from but we have a choice nevertheless. And as you said, you can always choose to turn around and start over.

That was a great post, Ron and Alexander Seige about choices. .  My neighbors and I got together, six feet distance and everybody brought their own wine. I didn't want to travel to Santa Monica to see my son and granddaughter. As you said, we have choices.

This is such a great post and things people need to hear.  I love your illustration with the road sign.  We are so blessed to live where we do and we have more choices than most people in the world. Have a Happy New Year!

We celebrated with our close friends outside on the patio--was a warmer day for Kansas City!  At this time--everyone has to make personal choices, and personally assume the risks.

The Waitley quote is one that we should never forget...it seems that today everyone wants your opinion because they are afraid to make a decision themselves - or as you suggest, they want to change the parameters of the process when they really cannot do that.
