The instapot definitely sounds like the way to go and I think it is just a matter of time before I get one and start using it myself.

Hi Anna Banana Kruchten CRS CRB, Phoenix Broker
I don't know why but I was putting the soup together one day and thought "I'm going to try this with beer for the liquid."  It was good, so that's how I do it now.

Good morning sista Hannah Williams
I've made soup for years but have never enjoyed it so much as with the convenience of the InstantPot.

I sure do enjoy it. Soup is such a great meal because you get the whole meal in a bowl. Love it.

Hi Endre Barath, Jr.
The Soup Nazi. LOL   I've made soups for years but way more often now with the convenience and speed of the Instant Pot.  I love it.

Hi Brian England
One of my greatest challenges when my husband passed away was adjusting to cooking for one. I find the Instant Pot to be a wonderful way to batch cook and always have a "full meal deal" on hand.

BTW: If you do get an Instant Pot, don't make the mistake of getting the small one because you're cooking for one. I have the 6 qt which is the second largest and wish I had the 8 quart.  Someday.

Hello Carol, it is my favorite time of year .. and I love making and eating my homemade soups and chili.  Easy peasy - I put it all in a pot or crockpot, and it cooks itself.  It is healthy and fresh and takes less time than waiting for "fast" food.

Hi Carol:

Thanks for sharing your recipe - sounds excellent, especially for the chillier months. I'd probably have some sourdough bread on the side! I know, not exactly low carb.

Oh yum! I also use beer in soups (and chili) and love the added flavor. And, the only thing I have mastered in my InstaPot is soup too! Isn't that funny - nothing else seems worth the effort but, soups turn out amazing in it.

Thank you fo rsharing this recipe, Carol - it looks and sounds wonderful!
