Where does Flower Mound Trash go?

Trash has been going to the Camelot Landfill located at 580 Huffines Blvd. in Lewisville, Texas. Flower Mound Residents may personally dispose of up to 10 cubic yards of waste once a month directly to the Landfill; however, there is an additional charge for bricks, concrete, and composition shingles. When having new roofs or other remodeling projects done at home, make sure you know how materials will be safely disposed of and what your responsibility is per the guidelines of the Town of Flower Mound.

Camelot Landfill is subject to state rules, regulations, and enforcement which may result in fines or violation fees. Because of COVID-19, before making a trip to the Landfill, call 972-492-3888.

Will Hamm - - I love to hear stories of couples who work as a Team. It's true - "we only have one earth!"

Hannah Williams - Thank you! I always say, the best news is local because it has a direct impact on the community.

George Souto - I couldn't agree with you more! So many things are taken for granted. When someone doesn't speak up or take action, there are consequences.

If I don't have a chance to wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, I am extending my best wishes right now. Pray there be clean earth and a healthy nation.

Never too early to get the word out about Holiday trash schedule especially as so many depend on getting all that extra trash away quickly

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD - Isn't it a pity how much trash is generated and stored in people's homes over the years? And what amout of weight is removed when stuff disappears! Bus so, so sad when landfills continue to grow into bigger kingdoms of junk.

Nina Hollander - I don't recall a similar post some years ago. Whatever you wrote, I'm sure it was good and necessary.

Ed Silva - Something that really bugs me is when people take their trash out for pick up on a Holiday when they know municipalities are closed. Yes! I decided to get the word out early.

Merry Christmas one and all! May the beauty of the season give you peace and beautiful stars in the sky throughout the winter season.

Wanda Kubat-Nerdin - Wanda Can! - There sure is a lot of trash that comes out of the mouth. Shoving it out? No problem, except if it's personal.

Thanks! May you be merry and things look bright for you and your family too!

I"m sure there are many people in your area who will be pleased to find this information. When I lived in Monroe, NY, I did an annual garbage post and I got more comments/contacts about that then anything else! haha.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Brian England - I hope the word gets out! Seeing trash on unscheduled days is such an eyesore!

Kat Palmiotti - That's interesting! Talking trash is an eye catcher and gets a lot of attention. How cool is that! You are wise!

Wishing you both the very best for a Merry Christmas and great New Year!

LOVE this! What a great PSA, Patricia! I need to follow your lead and get mine written this year. I have notes but, don't have it put together. It's something that we have to look up every year. So, why not put it out there for the locals?

Merry day-after-Christmas! 🎄
