A Holiday Poem...2020 Style
Ten years ago, on a whim, I began my “Night Before Selling” poem and have tried each year (although it seems I missed one) to continue it with some small changes to reflect the time.
Well, it’s 2020 so here’s this year’s Holiday Poem...2020 Style...
Twas the Night Before Selling
Twas the night before selling
When all through the house
No one was sleeping, not even a mouse.
All the doorknobs and surfaces had been wiped with great care
To protect all the buyers who soon would be there.
The children were busy making sure that their toys were nowhere to be found
The last thing they wanted with that virus around.
Mom and dad were downstairs and just as busy
Spraying here, Lysol there...the mist made them dizzy.
When next thing you know they received a phone call,
It’s your agent, don’t worry, I didn’t drop the ball.
We can show your home virtually through Facetime or Zoom
You don’t have to worry about strangers in your room.
When the right buyer calls with an offer you’ll like
We have our safety gear and will be ready to strike.
We’ll bring masks and booties and sanitizing gel,
We have Lysol spray and Clorox wipes that
will help keep you well.
For your peace of mind, this is what we’ll do
Because our top priority will always be YOU!
I wish you the Merriest of Merry’s and a bowl full of Joy!
