Merry Christmas Eve...From Charlotte NC
What a delightful Christmas Eve, despite the crazy year we've had! We are expecting company over for some holiday cheer later this evening... (Never fear, all of us have been bubbling!)
I have two late-arrival packages that contain gifts that need to be wrapped. The turkeys need to be prepped for an early rise, a little more baking today and lots more cooking tomorrow morning!
Stuffing/dressing, salads and vegetable dishes - really enough food to feed an army - have all been prepped. We are having a smaller crowd than normal tomorrow, as everyone couldn't bubble but, we are super excited to be able to see 3 of the grand moms in the group (all over 78) and most of their children and their families. We are almost ready!
And, finally...the stockings were hung by the chimney with care. They'll need to be filled late this evening as Mr. & Mrs. Santa have a little eggnog in private before the chaos ensues tomorrow!!
...And, after all of the baking and decorating, even the fur babies are exhausted!
Merry Christmas Eve to all...
