Yup, it's true.  One of our peach counties is Edgefield Co.  And today is the Ridge Peach Festival!


Trenton, South Carolina.  (located between Aiken, North Augusta, and Edgefield, SC)

Come out and enjoy the southern hospitality and richness of this wonderful town.

This little town is hosting thousands of visitors today for it's 38th Annual Ridge Peach Festival.

A full day of fun!!   Parade with local military band, local dignataries, beauty queens and antique cars/trucks/tractors... horses - and more horses...and other floats...


Food!  Food!  Food!!   Yes - everything PEACH!  OMG.  Peach preserves, peach pies, peach ice cream, peach pudding, peach cobbler, peach iced tea, peach slushies, canned peaches, fresh peaches.....  DELICIOUS - ALL OF IT :)             And there will be vendors with other foods, too, lol.

Arts and Crafts -  Live music all day long!! -  games and rides - antiques - softball tourny - ........and wrap up the night with music under the stars.   

Catch a shuttle from a parking area to the park.

From Augusta, GA by I-20, take exit 5 North on 25 towards Trenton. You will travel approximately 15 miles, go through the intersection of 121/25/19, staying on 121. Continue .7 miles, turn right on Church Street and follow it until it dead-ends at Watson St. The town park is directly in front of you just across the railroad track. The town park is centered between Watson St. and Harrison St.

From Columbia by I-20, take exit 18 (Hwy 19) to Trenton/Edgefield.

When you come to a fork at Eureka, stay left on 19 towards Trenton. Continue on 19 to the intersection of 121/25/19 (Pine House Intersection), take a right to Trenton and continue .7 miles. Turn right on Church Street and follow it until it dead-ends at Watson St. The town park is directly in front of you just across the railroad track. The town park is centered between Watson St. and Harrison St

OK as one from GA  I will have to say you may grow more but a Georgia Peach is like no other .. sweeter fresher HMMMMMMM it does not get any better then a Georgia peach

Are they as good as the white peaches of New Jersey? I love peaches but can't wait for our local fruit stand to put out their white peaches in August!

I don't know about the Jersey peaches, Veronica ....you need to ask my friend Kara - she is originally from Jersey.   All I can tell you is that they are delicious :)
