Teen suicide rates are up in 2020 due to the pandemic.
“Helicopter parents” while well meaning, are doing such a disservice to their children. They are literally protecting their kids from the same experiences that taught themselves how to be independent, make decisions and handle/overcome disappointment and tragedy. We learn from the falls, not the saves, the drops not the catches. I am a Dad and I practice what I preach.
