Endings and Beginnings

Today is the last day of what has been a very challenging year for everyone.  I sure hope you got through the year with limited stress and interference in general life.

We all faced many challenges but if you are reading this, you are blessed.  What did you do differently this year to stay afloat?  What have you learned from this past year?

I blogged early into the pandemic about this.  I suggested my agents enroll in online training, revisit basic real estate prospecting and follow up tasks and realign goals.  My team had an outstanding year with record breaking closings in December, our traditional slow month of the year.

This year, I met my yearly goals by mid June.  I set more!  I did some renovations at home and cleaned out every draw and closets except my kitchen which is my weekend project for this coming weekend.  By getting my home in order and pesky projects and renovations done, I'm going to start out the new year with an orderly home.  Organization is half the battle towards keeping life as simple as possible.

Now it's time, actually past time, to plan for the new year.  Is your business plan in place?  If not, get moving!  The hardest thing to get is "going".  Get out of your own way and make realistic goals for your business and personal life.  If you aren't planning for success, you are planning to fail.  It's that simple.

Remember, you can't control everything that happens but you can control how you respond to what happens.  Life is short.  Live each day as if its your last.

I wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2021.

Happy New Year's Eve Dee!   2020 was challenging and really glad it is coming to a close.   We did learn to work around the stuff and keep business flowing.  I brought on a new agent, and together we are planning for a fabulous year.   (she has 5 years experience)     Cheers to you and your team for a fabulous 2021!

We managed the year much the way you did, had a very busy year and when it slowed for us, we focused our attention to projects at home. We have a closing this next week, and are looking to helping more people buy and sell homes in 2021.  Life is truly what you make it. Your agents are lucky to have you as a mentor.
