Saturday night is a big night for eating out, apparently! My past clients called and asked if we could go and try out this new Mexican restaurant in Parker, which is in Douglas County, and as long as the restaurant has passed the 5-Star rules by the State, they can now open up 25% of the seating indoors. This is the only county in the Denver metro area that can now even have 25% indoor dining!
We had arranged to be there at 4 pm, and I was early (3:50) and there was a FULL parking lot. Not only full, but saw many sitting in their cars. Not a good sign.... Went inside to put my name down for a table, and there was AT LEAST one hour wait. BTW, they do have patio seating too, which was heated (and full).
Many of the restaurants are putting signs on the door stating you can only be seated for one hour, and give others a chance to eat also. I think that is only fair to the restaurants.
Hopefully this soon will pass. I know Colorado just went from RED level to Orange, so not sure what that means for restaurants, if they can now have more patrons, but sure hope so!
