Worth the Hour Investment...Zooming with John DL Arendsen
There is always something to learn at the Tuesday Zoom Meetings and this past Tuesday did not disappoint.
First of all, I had no idea what ADU stood for! (Accessory Dwelling Units) Thankfully John DL Arendsen, our guest speaker, explained it all to us. In fact, we want him to return because many agents had questions for him.
To his credit, John started his presentation off with some rousing music!!! Kudos to him!

You may be wondering what interest I would have in it, but I love any opportunity to learn something, especially about a subject that I knew nothing about. For example, if you are planning on adding one of these, you can’t just plop it down on your property. There are many things to consider including how this addition impacts the existing electrical and plumbing. Of course, there are permits to obtain and depending upon where you live, this could be a lengthy process.
You may never have a transaction that involves an ADU but isn’t it nice to know that if you did, you’d have some working knowledge of the subject.
If you’ve never attended a Zoom meeting of any kind or if you’ve not attended the weekly ActiveRain Zoom meetings I would encourage you to leave any preconceptions you have at the door and join us. They are held every Tuesday at 2 PM EST. George Souto posts about it with a link on Sundays.
Why you might want to join us...
~It is above all, an excellent way to meet other members here.
~It is a one-hour investment each week.
~You might just learn something!
~If there is a topic you’d like covered, share it with us!
~Many of you are active in the Q&A portion of ActiveRain...this is also a good place to ask a question. Many members join early and it’s a good time to ask a question!
