What Is This Mauve Flower????

I ran across this shrub this week while out looking at homes. At first I thought it was a hibiscus, but when I looked closer, I realized I was wrong. Does anyone have a name for this mauve colored flower???

I really thought it was beautiful and would love to plant one in my own garden, so if you have a clue as to what it is, please let me know!!!

It's a purple allamanda! It's related to mandavillas (a tropical vine I'm sure you see a lot of) and oleander (which we can grow here) I wish we could grow allamanda here....actually we can but you have to treat it as an annual. Beautiful picture.
