Stowe, Vermont Area Land Sales Market Report - 2020 Land Sales compared to 2019.

Throughout Vermont, the activity on land in 2020 was certainly up.  As one may have expected, the lack of inventory of homes and condos increased the demand for land.  Overall, the numbers of sales increased and the inventory decreased.  Some towns saw higher sale prices while other towns had lower sale prices.

Below is a chart for the State of Vermont along with the towns of Stowe, Waterbury, Morristown, Hyde Park, Elmore, Johnson, and Wolcott Vermont.

There are many positives should you choose to build.  The main ones, in my opinion, is new construction and your own design.  There are points to keep in mind when buying land - such of views, covenants, septic and well permits, and ability to agree on all the many decisions involved such as flooring, faucets, style of home, etc.  The final result - Your own HOME!
