YouTube Thursdays - Video Marketing - A Waste of Time?
It's already mid-January. Hopefully, we are all looking forward to making 2021 another successful year in real estate. Video will once again be part of our marketing efforts. Admittedly, we just weren't feeling it last year. Consistency was lacking in the overall plan.
Video marketing takes both time and consistency - if, you want to do it right. Doing it right takes planning, basic skills,(yes that includes editing), decent equipment, and authenticity.
Here is a list of our posts that cover the basics.

Let's back up a minute though. Good videos take time, and commitment. Unfortunately, producing a video doesn't guarantee it's going to be found. Although, if you follow the suggestions in the lists above - it should increase the odds.
Recently, we went through a number of our subscribed YouTube channels and found many real estate videos with little or no views. Although, that may not tell the entire story. For example, if one of our videos is uploaded directly to social media, the views are not reflected in that count. Only you know how your videos are truly performing.
Keep in mind, if you don't intend to fully commit to video marketing, it might not be a good fit. There, we said it out loud. Video marketing can be a colossal waste of time.
However, a well-thought out video marketing plan can generate leads. Real leads, from people who already feel a connection to you via video. Done well, videos build trust and familiarity.
Next week, we'll kick off a list of video suggestions designed to help you get discovered (re-discovered) in your market. By the way, we're ramping up our own efforts and we'll be working right along with you. Exciting, isn't it?
Remember, you are welcome to share your own YouTube Channel in the comments below. And, it's always good form to return the favor when someone visits your channel and subscribes, likes a video, and/or leaves a comment.
