AN ACT designating five State songs and supplementing chapter 9A of Title 52 of the Revised Statutes. SENATE, No. 2438 / STATE OF NEW JERSEY / 216th LEGISLATURE / INTRODUCED OCTOBER 9, 2014 1. The State songs shall be the words and music of the following:
a. “I’m From New Jersey,” by Red Mascara, shall be designated as the State Song.
b. “New Jersey My Home,” by Patrick Finley, shall be designated as the State Anthem.
c. “In New Jersey,” with lyrics inspired by the former 4th grade class of Alexandra “Sandy” Vitale at the Van Holten School in Bridgewater, and music by Terre McPheeters, shall be designated as the State Children’s Song.
d. “New Jersey, U.S.A.,” by Nelson Trout, shall be designated as the State Ballad.
e. “Be Proud To Be in New Jersey,” by Mark Winter and Ellen Winter, shall be designated as the State Popular Song.
