Better than new house sold in short amount of time. SOLD!

Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Advantage

What an extreme pleasure to put a big SOLD sign across this property that I blogged about about a month ago.  Selling agents were great to work with, buyers were nice and the owners of the house kept it super nice for showing.  And it only took one or two showings to get it sold.  Thanks to my lovely friends who are now moving to another chapter in their lives!!

I wrote this blog just a few days ago and now I have the listing on this lovely house located at 105 Christopher in Judsonia.  It is a truly better than new house!  It has 1 1/2 lots with wide side yards large enough to drive to the backyard and store an RV.  Inside it has a split bedroom floor plan and oak cabinetry.  Privacy fenced back yard.  Meticulously maintained.  Only $135,000.

Receiving the call to "come and tell me what my house might bring because I'm moving and may want you to sell it" is always a good thing to hear!    WHEN DO YOU WANT ME TO COME, TODAY OR TOMORROW?

That call came this week.  The house was bought new about 3 years ago.  There were several children involved and would live there.  I had not been in the house since the purchase.  We always wonder what we'll find and to be honest, I've seen so many mistreated houses by well-meaning people that I am always worried.

Driving up to the house today I saw a manicured lawn.  The yard was mowed and the edges trimmed and there were strategically placed stones around a culvert that could have been unsightly.  The sidewalks, porch and driveway had evidently been blown because they were clean. The porch had no dirt dobber nests or spider webs!  Do you notice how few people even look at their front entry?

Entering the house there was a tile floor.  THE GROUT WAS CLEAN!  Do you realize how few houses maintain clean grout!

The kitchen was clean with very little on the counter tops and the refrigerator was magnet free!  Gad, I hate kitchen magnets on a house that is for sale!

The bedrooms and the bathrooms and the garage were clean!  The carpet was clean!  Do you realize how many houses we see with part of the family's food supply ground into the carpets?

The large yard was privacy fenced and there were no weeds around the edges of the fence!!  Do you know how many people probably don't own a weed eater?  Or don't believe in killing a weed?

There was a little dog in the back yard who didn't like me much because they'd put him out because they didn't want him licking me.   But I didn't see any pet damages!!  Hardly any houses are free of pet damages if an animal is part of the family!!  I hate pet damages.

It was such a pleasure to see this well maintained house.  It is one that we could advertise as being "better than new" because of the way it has been maintained and because it already has a fence and window coverings!  Do you know how much I'd like to have this listing!!

I have always wondered why an agent would put better than new. It doesn't seem logical to me. Thank you for the explanation, and congratulations!

Your post is good, but I think that real estate agents are outmode. It is easily to do it with help of the internet. There are many sites on the web that can help you with selling your house. One of this sites is Fizber. There are many helpful services at this website like drive score at It helps to know what good things are near your house if you will go by car.
