Reflecting on the sale of 15 Plane Street in Piscataway, I am reminded that a successful transaction depends on many factors. I was so fortunate to be entrusted with the sale of this home and inspired by the level of respect both seller and buyer displayed for one another and the process. The result, a successful transaction with an overarching sentiment of gratitude felt by all.
I sold this home to the sellers in 2014 and they lived there happily until their life took a turn which meant that they needed to sell to relocate. Their timeline was short and they stepped up to the challenge of readying their home in record time. They listened to and acted on my advice on preparation, pricing and presentation. We got them on the market in short order and after one Open House and less than a week on market. they had multiple offers to consider.
I was very impressed by the sellers approach to evaluating the offers. It is a heady time for sellers, with multiple offers often escalating offer prices to points that are seemingly "too good to be true". This situation was no exception. The sellers understood that it is not always just about the offer price and carefully considered all aspects of each offer. They considered the sincerity, commitment, financial qualifications, and very importantly timing and overall flexibility of each buyer. Once a decision was made, the level of commitment to the transaction by both seller and buyer was steadfast. The resulting smooth sailing was a pleasure to all involved.
What an honor to play a role in connecting this seller and buyer. I think we all agree that it was "meant to be".
