John 12:41
“As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge them. For I did not come to judge this world, but to save it.”
If Jesus did not come to judge a person that hears his word and does not keep them, then its not our place to judge either. We are around people and situations all the time and the world has taught us to judge. Jesus said its up to the one who sent him to be the Judge. And God is full of grace and love; he is slow to anger and quick to give grace.
When we live like Christ and love like he and God loves, then life gets better for us and those around us. We are meant to spent time in community. We can spend time with fellow believers or “sinners”. We already know Jesus did not judge and spent a lot of time with “sinners”. He came to save. Jesus is still here with us to save now. We don’t have to do any of the saving. We lead with love, joy, peace, patience, grace and those help us to help others to welcome Jesus into their life.
It may be easier for us not to judge people we know. However, we also can do this with people we don’t know. Things were hear about in the form of gossip, twists from the media, and 3rd party sources does not give us the full picture or first hand knowledge. If you don’t know a person directly lets spend no time judging them. Spend time praying for them, asking for God’s guiding and leading on what you can do to help people far and near to you!
THANK YOU JESUS FOR COMING TO SAVE AND NOT TO JUDGE! HELP ME FOLLOW YOU IN THIS WAY AS WELL. I ASK FOR YOUR GUIDANCE AS I AM IN COMMUNITY WITH BELIEVERS AND NON BELIEVERS AND SHARE YOUR LOVE IN MY INTERACTIONS.
