This is a very historic chair! You can find it in many Searcy High School yearbooks.
We are fortunate, my daughter and I, to have been chosen to market the house and the contents of the home that has been occupied by members of the Roberson family. What makes the Roberson family special? THE RENDEZVOUS!
The Rendezvous was one of the best and most popular restaurants in Searcy AR for many years. It was started by the Roberson family and was often the chosen location for happy functions. Click here for an early view of it.
The family says that this wrought iron chair was often used for events. It would be picked up from their house and carried for use to help with formal pictures at various places, sometimes at the Rendezvous. In one picture below it is definitely this chair but the other one will have to be verified by Searcy Sleuths. The first picture is from 1964 yearbook and second picture is from the 1975 yearbook.
The chair has definitely aged and will be sold at the Estate Sale January 22, 23, 24. I hope it can be restored and used again. It has two matching small chairs. Tell us who the folks are in the pictures, Searcy Sleuths!!
The home is for sale too!! A super bargain at $125,000!
