Hi Rana- I love to fish and totally agree with the reasons you listed for taking your child fishing. It's not about catching a fish but more about the act of fishing.
Hi Rana, Thanks for sharing this great post. The importance of being together and doing things as a family can not be overstated.
Excellent points. I can just imagine the excitement in a child's voice and they declare they went fishing with dad (or mom, or grandpa!)
Good afternoon Rana Tarakji ,
I love this post! So glad that Kathy Streib featured your post in her "Ah-ha" moments for the week. I so agree with you. My son loved to fish off the dock, he now has introduced his 2 children to the art of fishing. Such great times together and patience is definitely a life skill you learn!
I did go fishng with mt Dad nce when we were kids. Didn't have any kids myself but the grandson has gone golfing with me. A key kesson in patience there
Love this post! I grew up fishing in Kansas, Missouri and Wyoming with my parents. There were times I didn't like it as a teenager, but the solitude spoke volumes to me as a middle kid of 6. Great topic!
