A NEW YEARS BASH LIKE NOTHING BEFORE

Each year the Business Council of Westchester kicks the year of with a holiday bash held in a big hotel in Westchester.  It is a big gala event including the naming the the Business Council Ambassador of the Year.

But this year, of course, was different.  We did have our Business Council Ambassador of the Year and here she is  Hillary Millman.  Congratulations!

 

Ambassador of the Year

With the large number of attendees we ambassadors facilitated breakout room.  We has three rotations of room.  Rather than having people introduce themselves we posed question and people who answered got introduce themselves.

Here are the questions:

Conversation Starters


1. What efforts are you making to focus your businesses’ purpose (new or renewed) and motive your employees towards that purpose?

2. Name some action oriented topics that are important to all of your employees.

3. What, if any, changes in your business planning and spending are you making that will be directed towards resilience and business continuity?

4. How do you start to safely welcome employees back into your organization and what do you allow in terms of in-office vs. virtual work flexibility going forward?

5. What has been your experience in regards to retraining and redeploying employees?

6. What are your predictions for 2021?

There was plenty of discussion and I know I did get through all of the questions but we had lively and engaging conversations and a very successful New Years Bash.

Good morning, Grant... it still makes me somewhat sad that so many "traditional" events have had to be changed so drastically in the past year. But that being said, with a list of topics such as you delineated, it must have been a wonderful event nonetheless.

Endre - that was a good one.  We had plenty of conversations on these.

James - whatever it is we won't be blindsided this time.

Brian - with a total of over 1,000 which grew last year we have done plenty engage.

Nina - we actually did very well with what we had to work with.  I think it speaks volumes for the posibilities once this ends.
