answer your cat's question day

It's National Answer Your Cat's Question Day! Does Your Cat Have Questions? Can You Answer Your Cat's Questions?

ATTENTION CAT LOVERS! January 22nd (that's today!), is National Answer Your Cat's Questions Day!  Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love cats. And I write a reminder about National Answer Your Cat's Question Day every year.

Historians believe that cats and humans have been co-habiting for some 12,000 years. Despite these thousands of years of co-habitation with cats, we  humans continue to be mystified by the cats around us. As it turns out, cats are just as mystified by us humans! And our cats have question for us humans!

If you've ever wondered what your cat is really thinking when its sitting there sphynx-like, today is the day to pay close attention to your cat and give them some answers to their age-old questions.

If you're a cat lover, like myself, be sure to check out Ellen's video about National Answer Your Cat's Questions Day. No matter how many times I've watched this video, I laugh like crazy each time! I bet you will, too.

One question I do know so many cats are asking today and every day is "when will I get my fur-ever home?" There are so many beautiful cats in shelters just waiting for you to give them a loving, fur-ever home. Why not answer that question today and go to your local shelter and adopt one of these cats?

Here in the Charlotte metro area we have numerous pet shelters where you can find a nice selection of beautiful cats and kittens who are hoping you'll take one (or more) of them home with you. That's where we adopted our cat, Mr. Marlow... and he has but one question for me every day (see the picture below for what it is!):

Can You Guess My Mr. Marlow's Question?

Joan Cox glad to hear that Mia is doing better. Always scary when you need to take them to the vet no matter their age. Mr. M just had his annual check up and passed with flying colors.

Shadow's questions would be. 1st-When are you going to feed me.  2nd- Why do you have to stick me with a needle 3x a day (diabetic). 2x for insulin and 1x sometimes 2x a day to check glucose level.  She does well though.

Hi Nina Hollander - That was hilarious!  I had cats for 43 years but I never saw a cat walk like that!  Thank you for sharing that post.  You are the Queen of "Meow".

Hi Nina:

I had no idea this was such a special day! Our 2 cats might have a few questions but my guess is the most popular is "when do we eat" and " are you going to sit down so I can have a lap?!"

Enjoy your weekend!

Jeff

Apparently, I missed the memo about the special National Answer Your Cat's Question Day, Nina. It is so true that there are so many amazing fur babies that need homes. I wish people would be more responsible to spay and neuter, further preventing overpopulation of domestic animals.

Our cat would ask, "You do know that it's all about meow, right?"

Hannah Williams good morning, Hannah... those cats of ours do sit there, don't they, looking a bit like wise owls. My guy speaks a lot and when I speak back he answers.

Wanda Kubat-Nerdin - Wanda Can! good morning, Wanda... I feel that way about both cats and dogs... people need to spay and neuter them... it would go a long way to reducing the populations of homeless animals.

My guy is a talker... and he definitely says "what part of meow don't you understand."

Jack complains when the kibble bowl is empty no matter what time of the 24hrs it is:)) they do not ask questions they just boss us around:)))Endre

Endre Barath, Jr. good morning, Endre... my Mr. Marlow knows just how to ask about his food. But he's a bit of talker in general... these days I think he's often asking me why the dog doesn't leave him alone in peace.
