Hello Kathy - patience and acceptance is a muich-needed andidote for the "hurry up and wait" way of life that seems to inhabit far too many lives(and minds).  A constant reminder of pause and reflection is good for me - I guess it would be better if I learned it a long time ago but  "it is what it is".  While, I have definitely not "mastered" the concept "it" remains a work-in-progress.

On a side note, I just finished Michael J Fox's "Lucky Man" which is one of his earlier books.  I gained a bit more knowledge about him as a person so I appreciated finding a quote from him in this post.  

Finding a good doctor you like and respect is worth a patient wait. Glad it has turned out well for you.

Roll with it... is the only phrase I know for the times we are living in.

I have to say, patience has never been my strong suit. I got a lot better at it when I had children and had to repeat the same thing over and over. But I'm still more of a lets-get-going type of person.

Some of us need to work on our patience.

First of all, I truly hope all is well with you, Kathy Streib.  We need you healthy and thriving.  As for patience, acceptance is the name of the game as you suggest. It simply "is." 

Much of my patience this week has turned into avoidance as the necessary action to keep me from stating some opinions that wouldn't be welcome by the recipient or their crowd of followers.

My Facebook memories popped up something I typed 4 years ago, and the only thing that would need done would be to flip the labeling of the parties and the same message would be just as applicable.   So I'm ducking and covering and moving along as quickly as I can.

Hey there Kathy Streib yes there are times for all of us where we need a little extra patience and acceptance

Patience is a virtue it is said but when it comes to doctors office waiting I don't know if my patience is so virtuous.  It is what it is a saying I say often but don't always like the "what is"  I like the Michael J. Fox quote and if anybody has had to learn patience or understands it is what it is it's him. Glad your wait was a short one. Have a wonderful weekend. 

Hello Kathy,  We all have to be patience some time and with time all things work out.

Hi Kathy seems like a lot of us have had to 'beef' up our patience with many things and issues this year.  Glad you finally got there and all is aok.  You sure gave me a lot to enjoy with your photos...and especially the birds. I think I'd just sit outside and enjoy nature if I was having one of those days.  Sometimes getting off the treadmill is the best thing to do.

We have found patience by making it an opportunity.  Ron on Wednesday had a 7:40AM check on his new bionic eyes, and I waited outside for what was supposed to be a 15 minute appt.  The person before him ran late.  Instead of getting upset, he started ready Reuter's  news, and found an article that validated a project we are working on.  I, enjoyed reading my book on my iPad as I waited...As we like to say, where there is a rub, there is an opportunity!  A

Kathy I need to learn from you because "patience and acceptance" are qualities I tend to not have much of.

I've had nothing but patience for the past two weeks.  I haven't moved much in that time period either.

I definitely found myself in need of recharging my patience last weekend.  And just when I get it recharged, the supply is getting drained again.  Another good night's sleep may do the trick.  

Hi Kathy Streib - After leaving the hurry-up pace of Southern California, I had to reacclimate to a slower way of life.  Everything takes time in Slowdona! I like this pace much better.

Rarely do I lose my patience.  When I do, it is not pretty, but I keep it under control, most of the time that is

Patience is in short supply all around. We have to each remember that and do the best we can to make life better whenever we can.
