Brian England good morning again, Brian... I suspect that may be due to the fact that most people take so little time to pay compliments these days that when someone gets one they really don't know how to respond.

Barbara Todaro good morning and thank you, Barbara. It really is quite amazing to see how people are "transformed" when they are paid a sincere compliment.
Roy Kelley good morning again, Roy... we should all be more mindful of paying compliments in our daily lives... especially these days when we are all so much more isolated.
Wayne Martin good morning again, Wayne... I very much believe that a compliment is like verbal sunshine. They do wonders.

Nina,
Both of us give compliments when we encounter people on a daily basis. And in these times, we see the same people over and over again. Neither one of us has trouble praising people, each other, or Quincy...and he returns the compliment with a head butt and a purr. A

Ron and Alexandra Seigel hi Alexandra... don't our pets make it so easy to pay them compliments? Mr. M purrs like made and Mr. B wags his tail like mad in appreciation. And they seem to have no problem showing us how much they love us.
Joan Cox thanks, Joan... I appreciate that compliment! :) Like Mark Twain, I think we can all live for two months on a great compliment!

Rocky Dickerson thank you, Rocky... and I remain "stunned" by your creativity... "sweating glitter" is a new term for me. How did you know I'm a fan of some glitz and glitter? (Tasteful, of course.)

George Souto hi George... and thank you for that compliment. That list just goes to show you don't need to be elaborate, just genuine, when paying a compliment.
Hello Nina - did I miss "Why, Mrs. Cleaver - that's a lovely dress you're wearing" given on more than one occasion by Eddie Haskell from the classic family-friendly television sitcom, Leave It To Beaver? Nothing against Mr Haskell or his manners but being genuine counts for much when it comes to compliments. In fact, it counts for a lot when it comes to many aspects of life.

Michael Jacobs good morning, Michael... those of us of a certain generation could never forget that Eddie Haskell line! Compliments without sincerity are useless, no doubt about it. But when they are genuine, they can totally make someone's day.

Nina Hollander - and there was no one quite like Mrs. Cleaver - pearls, high heels and quite the housekeeping whiz. She must have been the model for the character that Kathleen Turner played in the movie Serial Mom. 🙃
Michael Jacobs the funny thing is that when this show was on TV we didn't think it was odd that she spent her day at home in heels and pearls.
Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS ha-ha-ha, Paul! I suppose if we sat around and brain-stormed, we'd come up with at least another 100 compliments.
Kathy Streib hi Kathy... paying a genuine compliment is not only kind, it's free! More people should try it. It costs nothing and the payoff is huge.
Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP good morning, Patricia... and thank you so much for that compliment. Mine to you is that you may be one of the most creative people here in the Rain and I'm always in awe of how you express yourself both verbally and with pictures.
Being around you does make everything better - glad you are here in the Rain!

Lise Howe hi Lise... I realized the other day that the last time I'd been out of Charlotte was in October 2019.
We went to Cape Cod last summer with my son and his two boys and my daughter and her beau - my son has already had COVID and my daughter has been very careful - we all got tested and stuck to ourselves. I get up to NYC to see Alex and the boys occasionally too

Lise Howe for some reason, the two things I decided to do to stay safe is not travel and not eat at restaurants. As soon as I get my vaccination in March, I might rethink that.
I love paying compliments to people, even strangers but sometimes I get odd looks when I do, rather than just a thank you, haha.
