Well Phoenix, Arizona is the fastest growing in population numbers (# of People) per the US Census data, but Buckeye is the fast growing in the US in annual percentage growth.

Buckeye Arizona is booming!

Buckeye, Arizona is the fastest growing in the US pecentage increase year to year per the US Census data.

In an article from Fox News back on July 19, 2017 this economic explosion for Buckeye with the new Freeway, interstate 11 to Las Vegas was forecast, ""It's going to be a huge economic boom for the City of Buckeye because it's going to bring in more commercial and industrial businesses, which is going to create more jobs, which is going to create more retail and create more residential folks coming to Buckeye," said Annie De Chance, the Communications Director for the City of Buckeye. Signs of the freeway's impact on the city can be seen in many places, literally, in the form of "land for sale" signs that could align with the new Phoenix to Las Vegas freeway. Fry said an acre of land in Buckeye that was sold for $11,000 four years ago, now costs $40,000. Buyers may want to remain anonymous, but the the builders are already here. Permits jumped 46% in just one year for single family homes. "If you are looking to purchase some land for future investment, absolutely look where Interstate 11 is going," said Fry."

In an article dated May 23, 2019, Lisa Boehm of the Arizona Republic, reports, "Two Arizona cities are the fastest growing in the United States, according to population estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau Thursday.

Buckeye's population saw the largest percentage growth of any city in the country, growing its size by 8.5% between July 1, 2017 and July 1, 2018. It now has a population of 74,370.

Phoenix

Phoenix saw the largest numeric increase during that time frame, adding 25,288 people for a total population of 1,660,272. This is the third year in a row that more people moved to Phoenix than any other city in the country. Phoenix's increase helped the city remain the fifth-largest city in the country — just slightly ahead of Philadelphia's population of 1,584,138. Phoenix is far from catching the fourth largest city, Houston, which has a population of 2,325,502.
