Wayne Martin too funny, Wayne! I've been watching our inventory drop month by month by month, but over the past several months I continue to be gob-smacked by how low it now is.
You are suffering from the same problem that we are having here - need more inventory!

Lise Howe hi Lise... I suspect many regions of the country are suffering from the lack of inventory right now. Thanks for the catch on the 2021 -- I'm now so used to writing 2021, I forgot I was writing about 2020. :)
So then it appears that realtor.com must certainly know Nina Hollander is on the job!

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD hi Debb... our $750+K market is at 2.5 months of inventory... but under $350,000 it hardly exists.
Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 hi Sheila... sellers have reason to be happy... I've got people coming in from California next week and they won't be all that happy not to see much in the way of options.
Roy Kelley and thank you, Roy, for stopping by. Wishing you a good day ahead... it remains overcast and drizzly in Charlotte.
Nina,
I have not been paying attention to our local market at all. I am more focused on our clients who are doing well, I think those who are coming from California will breath a sigh of relief even at the higher end. What goes for a million here is nothing, and now with more people able to telecommute, they can live anywhere they want. A

Ron and Alexandra Seigel no doubt, Alexandra... $1 million will buy people a whole lot more in the Charlotte area than in many large cities west of the Rockies. Realtor friends in Connecticut are seeing tons of people buying up property coming from NYC... and we're not talking about Stamford or Greenwich, but smaller towns a solid 2-2.5 hours outside of NYC.
I seem to find myself reading one of your market reports or updates on a daily basis. I am becoming very savvy, I think, in the Charlotte Real estate market thanks to your wonderful blog posts 👍 Nina Hollander

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS hi Paul... well, it's that time of year for market report for the past month, the past quarter, and the past year. Are you ready for a quiz on Charlotte real estate market? :)
Hi Nina:
Great market overview with some pertinent information to help sellers, and buyers in particular, truly understand what the trends are. The Charlotte market continues to impress with how vibrant it is...and it sounds like 2021 is going to be another hot real estate market for Charlotte.
Definitely a market where buyers and sellers need expert guidance from you.

Jeff Dowler, CRS good morning, Jeff... the Charlotte market keeps getting more and more competitive and somewhat less affordable due to lack of inventory. Thankfully very low interest rates are keeping homes affordable for many buyers... but it does make you wonder how long this can keep going.
Some impressive numbers for the Charlotte housing market. Average sales price up almost $5,000 over the average list price with days on market down almost 50%. That is a sizzling market.

Ed Silva good morning, Ed... a sizzling market for sure here in Charlotte and highly stressful for home buyers (and their agents).
Thanks for the update Nina, all the best to you as you get many of these properties listed and sold.
Sally
Good morning Nina. Your report mentions 25 days on the market as an average. Here in downtown Chicago we have a 25 month supply of inventory. So we share something in common, ha, ha! Enjoy your day.
