Anna Banana Kruchten CRS CRB, Phoenix Broker was the speaker on 1/26/21 for the AcriveRain's Weekly Zoom Meeting. The topic was Developing Life and Business Plans. The title itself gave me stress as I have listened to many presentations on this topic, and I always came away overwhelmed. I would get so stressed working on a plan I would stop and put it out of my mind.
I am very happy to say that did not happen this time! Anna made it simple and even fun. By the end of the hour presentation, I had a pretty good plan written down for both personal and business.
Why is having a personal and business plan important: A Plan helps us to balance our lives. It helps us achieve our goals. It gives us direction instead of just letting life happen to us. We have the ability to create the life we want.
Anna had us focus on 3 areas for our personal plan:
*Spirit/Spiritual Goals
*Physical Goals
*Social Goals
Anna took time to talk about each area, why it is important and gave us some ideas of areas we could work on. She then gave us a few minutes to write down what we wanted to achieve in each area. It is too easy to let work consume us. Anna reminded us to schedule time for our personal life.
For our business plans, Anna had us focus on the following areas:
*Marketing
*Prospecting
*Networking
*Budgeting
Again, she presented ideas and gave us time to write down what was most important to us in each area.
Anna suggested that we break our plan down into Daily/Weekly activities to help us achieve our plans. For me, this is very beneficial as I am one to always look at the whole elephant and wonder how I am going to eat it in one bite. Breaking the plan down into bite-sized bits made me realize I can accomplish my goals/plan, one bite at a time! I did not feel overwhelmed as Anna finished her presentation.
Just as important as writing down a plan is visualizing the results we want. Anna went over this and explained why visualizing is important. She had us write down a Mindset Monetary Goal(s). She also had us write a check out to ourselves of the net income we desire to achieve by the end of the year.
Anna encouraged us to Know our Strengths and Talents. Knowing this is important for us to be able to live an awesome life and have a productive business. If we are trying to do something we just don't have the talent for, we more than likely won't succeed which will leave us feeling like a failure. Focusing on what we can do and can do well, not only will help us succeed but give us the confidence we need to continue reaching our goals.
Anna ended by asking us to write down areas we need to improve on in 2021. She strongly encouraged us to have fun this year and think outside the box. I would have to say Anna encouraged us to have fun in every area of our life and expressed this often. I agree with her. Having fun leads to laughing and positive thinking which leads to more laughing and positive thinking which leads to more positive things happening in our lives. It is important to find ways to have fun right now that, because of covid, we cannot do. Anna encouraged us to think outside the box for ways to get together with family, friends, clients and have fun! There are ways we can still have fun.
