Ron and Alexandra:
We had our rain over the weekend and then a big storm on Monday. I'm certainly appreciative of the rain that's so badly needed. It's beautiful here today, but cool.

We had our first rain here Monday since I arrived back in Arizona in October. Snow too for two days. It has been very windy and dusty so hopefully it settles the dust. That is a great photo you captured and a terrific quote.

Hi Ron and Alexandra, Glad to hear you are enjoying a day of rain. Here, we won't have rain for a couple more months - just snow - and that is appreciated too.

Morning Alexandra.
Looks like we'll get our share Saturday, with an 80% chance of rain. Knowing our forecasters, we'll see, but I won't bet on it

Good morning again, Alexandra... I'm always taken aback a bit by how excited people in California become when it rains... I certainly understand why. Here in Charlotte we've had rain on and off for days... and that's unusual for us and most of us are sick of it. We are not excited! :)

Hi Ron and Alexandra Seigel - it is true that you can have too much of a good thing. California needs to have rain.

By the end of summer here we are hoping for rain (so we don't get fires). By the end of the spring though, we are hoping for sun because it's soo wet!
It's all good though.

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD This past week we drove by both the Lake reservoirs that service our area of the county. They are definitely full, but I am happy that they will be fuller, and we love how things in the mountains are greening up. A
Kat Palmiotti I know what you mean, and we do have our shares of fires. We are glad that our hills were burned during the big fire, because native vegetation is back, and the native stuff is a fire retardant. Some of the cities around here are stringent about not planting certain bushes or trees because they instantly go up in flames like certain varieties of eucalyptus..A

Brian England I had already seen some weeds coming up from the previous rains, and I look forward to weeding, it is a mindless activity that refreshes. A

Grant Schneider we are delighted and over the moon when it rains. We are going to have sunshine tomorrow and Saturday, and there is a rumor that more rain is on the way...A
Nina Hollander we have lived through several droughts in our lives together in California, so yes the rain is cause to rejoice for us, as silly as it may sound to someone living in Washington State or in London. Santa Barbara is continuing on building their desalinization plant, something they had abandoned in the past. A

Jeff , We had major winds here prior to the rain, and I heard about your area from a friend. More rain is on the way for today and predicted for tomorrow. We have to wait till Saturday for sunshine. A
Michael Jacobs We had a brief respite today, and it is raining again, and supposedly more steady rain throughout the evening.. Sunshine is promised for Saturday, maybe we will go out for lunch and be able to sit outside. A

Hello Alexandra and Ron - when I went out a bit after 7 this morning, it was certainly chilly, a bit windy(though less than some days we have experienced this month) with a heaviness in the air but no precipitation although it's due to arrive tomorrow night.
