Have not seen hail here since 2010.  We are still experiencing showers after a brief respite, and tomorrow they are predicting rain all day.  It is good for our reservoirs and snow base.  A

Jeff we went through quite a storm with rain and hail heading down to Central Phoenix on Monday. Since it was Gary's birthday we went to one of our favorite lunch places that has a lot of open windows and doors. OMG they were rushing fast to get everything closed up.  It was totally crazy....but kind of fun too!  We haven't had rain in so, SO long.

Sounds like a very exciting day for all of you, except the cats.

Hail on a roof is loud and if it comes down loud enough the damage follows

A common occurrence in my area, at least once or twice a year.

Hi Jeff... those hail storms can be loud and scary. Last time we had a really big one in my area hail was the size of baseballs. I got a brand new roof out of that storm.

We have a cold day in Maryland and are thankful that we are not having hail, sleet or snow.

I haven't seen hail since 2020! haha.

That's very unusual for your area. I would have taken a photo as well. Were your cars safe from damage?

Maybe it could have been Mums the Word Monday, haha.  I think we got some hail in my area too.

I've been through a couple of hail storms myself.  The animals got freaked out and spooked to.  It's amazing at times what nature can throw at us.  At least you were safe and you could write about it!

Jeff, at least it looks like the hail was small.  When we get those storms, they cause damage.

Hi Jeff Dowler, CRS - there certainly has been some unusual weather there lately.  I am sure you welcome the rain too.

WOW! That was a nice ground-covering there, Jeff! We occasionally have hail here and that's about as large as we get. When we have hail storms, the roofers are in all of their glory, going through neighborhoods, convincing the residents they need new roofs! Somehow they manage to get them covered by all of the different insurance companies too.

Jeff Dowler, CRS - With an unexpected hail storm in CA, I can understand where the word scaredy cat came from! Glad to know you survived your winter storm.
