Can we have them sign an indentured servant agreement along with that lien? According the US Dept of Agriculture, it costs $233,610 (in 2017) to raise a child from birth through age 17.

I was taught, if you give a child/friend/family member money it is not a "loan", consider it a gift. If it is repaid consider that a bonus!
