The other morning while I was sleeping, a beautiful thing happened. While I was sleeping, my ordinary backyard. The one that looked cluttered. The one that at times I roll my eyes wondering how I will ever make it look beautiful. That backyard looked beautiful. You see, it had been covered in snow. And snow makes everything look wonderful.

And then I pondered, what else is in life that when it covers the things that aren’t so pretty and aren’t so nice, they become beautiful. I realized it is forgiveness. There have been people that I have had tensions with. People that have been unkind or malicious towards me. And when I forgive, the beauty of our friendship returns. Perhaps to be made even stronger. Enjoy the snow. Maybe even ponder who to reach out to and make amends with.

Rocky, I too think when snow covers the ground/trees it is simply beautiful.   It gives a peaceful and quiet feel.

Wow!!! That looks like a lot of snow...for Las Vegas...I thought snow is Las Vegas is like snow in...well...Port St Lucie Florida, which kind of South Florida . SO that is shocking!!!

Hello there Anna Chroscicki the first time I saw it snow here in Las Vegas, I was quite shocked. But then I used to live near the beach in San Diego and actually did see it snow at sea level once.

Hi Rocky- a lovely post and I loved your video.  I didn't see or live in snow until we moved to Leesburg VA years ago and I was like a kid in a candy shop. One of my favorite things was to sit in our hot tub while it was snowing. 

And your message is a beautiful one.

There are some days in winter when that beauty can get to be 8 to 10 " deep, ad that is not all that beautiful.

As for forgiveness, as we get older we tend to forget and that makes it easier
