Hello Kathy - just the mere mention of escape has my mind wandering.  Hmm...escapism at its most basic.

We each have our own way of escaping.  The beach is certainly a good one. Happy Saturday

I had an escape planned and I would have been hanging out with Michael Jacobs , Jeff Dowler, CRS and John DL Arendsen this past week, but no California shut things down and my resort canceled my reservation.

When we can't actually escape, dreaming and planning the next one is a good option.  I've been planning an epic road trip that was supposed to take place last Fall but I've set my sights on this Fall.  Texas is on my agenda. Consider yourself warned. LOL

Hi Kathy... there seems to be a day for everything and then some. People always talk about escaping, but I can't say that I ever feel really driven to do so. I'm generally quite content where I am.

Hello there, we were a day early and escaped to a trail in Portland where we met our three grandkids. What a fun day we had meanering wooded trails dotted with streams. Five-year old Holden even spotted a dollar bill someone stuck in the nook of a fallen log. Was it intentional? We explored that topic for nearly an hour. Escapes are so good for the soul, and this one in particular, checked all the boxes. Even Finnegan came home tired and happy.  Happy Saturday, hope you and Larry escape for a bit.

We escape every Saturday to the wine country.  This Saturday, we are having brunch at our favorite restaurant Lucky's.  We are so lucky it is open again.  We will be bundling up even though they have heaters (45 right now and a high of 55) sunny day.   They have great food....A

Hi Kathy I am thankful I haven't had the need to escape for quite some time. AZ is pretty much open and we're free to come and go.  We've enjoyed quite a few picnics in the park with friends this year.  Escaping to me used to be hiking and just being in nature, almost every day. Daily meditation.

Hello Kathy,  We support two restaurants in our area that are not chains but small restaurant and carry out from them on Saturday and Friday night

I guess the question is: Do you like Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain?

Yep, Kathy, an escape has taken on a different meaning in the last year...perhaps a major escape can happen this year.

It's a beautiful day today, but chilly, and we just took a long drive down the coast road along the ocean to enjoy the views and visually explore some towns we have not be in since before the pandemic. It was a wonderful escape.

Hi Kathy, Thanks for the mini-escape.  Just reading about the escapes can get you thinking of one - and a little mind escape can be very rejuvenating.

We had to cancel our yearly get away to Palm Springs this year, so sad Kathy Streib

Kathy, funny you should write this, I was researching Estes Park, and thinking a nite or two away would be fun.

Virtual traveling, with not being able to leave my ill family members, has been what has kept me sane for years.  Needing to amp it up these days.

Ha! We've actually moved a few site built homes as well Kathy Streib I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how/why my comment got emersed into your beautiful thread. I was also named in anther post by Ron & Alexandria and when I read the post I didn't see any comments from me. I was a very nice post though, as was yours.
