Patricia great job explaining the ethics guideline.  I would imagine most Realtor Boards have a similar guideline, however, I have seen a number of times that guideline being violated verbally.

George Souto - I would imagine it's no different in other States than it is in Texas. When a real estate agent joins and is sponsored by a Broker, they must join the National Association of REALTORS® and adhere to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Procedures. 

Consumers should ask more questions about who they hire and what memberships they belong to.

Patricia, love being first in everything including Challenges like this, good for you.... now with that said sadly  we can not always believe the writers, authors, media stars and the list goes on and on.... I stopped watching and reading News.... so I am not surprised Code of Ethics, Morals or not that someone would write this post even if they claim to be adhering to the Code....

Keep in mind buyers and sellers see through the "false motivation" having been a vacant land listing agent for 26+ years if you called me I would sound like I am trying to talk you out of a sale....reality is I want you to go in with open eyes.... hence I get more referrals than the other agents....Endre
